Context

Minutes of the Near East Relief Conservation Committee — a sub-committee of the Executive Committee earlier known as the Committee on Continuing Work in the Near East and the Near East Institutes Committee. Convened to plan Near East Relief’s transition from emergency relief to permanent service institutions, the committee acted on the findings of the 1925 Near East Survey and laid the groundwork for the creation of the Near East Foundation in 1930.
