Relief Worker Memorial
More than 1,000 Americans — missionaries and mechanics, nurses and teachers, veterans and conscientious objectors — served overseas with Near East Relief from 1915 to 1930. This memorial honors them by name, with photographs and biographical details, and it grows as research continues.

Experience history through the words of those who lived it. Voices of NER presents letters, diaries, memoirs, and status reports from the field – first-person accounts from relief workers, administrators, and survivors that reveal the daily realities of displacement, care, and rebuilding.
